We specialise in pregnancy and postnatal pilates, womens health, mums and bubs, fat loss, injury rehabilitation and athletic body conditioning with a focus on creating programs that fit individual needs and goals.
Calling West Footscray home, the tranquil and peaceful studio is in easy reach of Yarraville, Seddon, Footscray, Kensington and Flemington.

Director and Principal Pilates practitioner at Evolve Pilates Training is Alison Fensham.
Ali is a fully qualified studio pilates practitioner and member of the Pilates Alliance Australasia.
With over 10 years experience under her belt, Ali has built her reputation specialising in Pregnancy and Postnatal Pilates, Women's Health & Body Conditioning, Diastasis Recti (Abdominal Separation) rehabilitation, and correction.
Her dedication and expertise in training, educating and empowering women throughout pregnancy and birth has seen her fast become one of Melbourne's most popular Pregnancy and Postnatal Pilates Practitioners.
As a mama herself Ali knows first hand the importance of looking after your body with the pilates method throughout pregnancy and beyond!
Commonly asked questions
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO PILATES?
Depending on what you are wanting to get out from your pilates training, anywhere from 1 to 3 sessions per week is ideal. Consistency is important to promote changes to your body.
If Pilates is your only form of exercise I recommend at least 2-3 sessions per week for optimal results.
CAN I DO PILATES WHILE I'M PREGNANT?
YES! We are a pregnancy and postnatal specialist stuio. Working with mums and mums to be is our passion.
Evolve Mama (our pregnancy and postnatal specific pilates program) targets specific core musculature, pelvic floor, pelvis, hips and spine. Strengthening these muscles provides the internal support that can ease the pain and discomfort often associated with pregnancy and reduce the risk of potential postnatal complications.
Ali tailors your pilates training to suit the changing needs of every trimester and continues into postnatal recovery. We also offer specialised programming and training for the recovery and rehabilitation of abdominal separation, pelvic floor and prolapse.
WHEN CAN I RETURN TO PILATES POST-BIRTH?
Deciding when to return to pilates after pregnancy is a hugely personal choice, and of course birth factors and possible complications in your delivery and pregnancy will play a large role in when you feel ready. The general rule with gentle Pilates training is 4-6 weeks post birth, however a caesarean birth will push things back to at least 6 weeks post delivery.
Most of our Evolve Mama mamas return to us as at the 6 week postpartum mark after a natural birth.
Evolve Pilates Training requires medical clearance from your doctor/obstetrician before recommencing pilates training with us.
WHAT DO I WEAR TO A PILATES SESSION?
Despite what you may have heard Pilates is not just breathing and fluffy stretches!
You will be moving your body, stretching and sweating, so standard lightweight fitness apparel is a must. A clean pair of socks is also recommended.
CLAIMING HEALTH FUND REBATES
CAN I CLAIM PILATES THROUGH MY PRIVATE HEALTH FUND?
Unfortunately No. As of April 2019 rebates for pilates has been removed from ALL Private Health Funds.

Duo sessions- 2:1 pilates training (a max of 2 clients working through individually tailored pilates programs to suit specific goals and needs)
Casual Duo Session - $60
Block of 10 (Duo) - $550/$55 per session
Private- 1:1 pilates training sessions
Casual Private- $95
Block of 10 (Private)- $900/$90 per session
Please note: all new clients must complete an initial assessment prior to commencing pilates training.
